APRIL continues to facilitate access to healthcare for its policyholders through a new partnership with C'Evidentia

With waiting times for a consultation with an ophthalmologist running as long as 3 months[1]  and the average out-of-pocket cost of a pair of spectacles at €128[2], the process of obtaining ophthalmic treatment can sometimes be an obstacle course. APRIL, the leading insurance brokerage, is announcing its partnership with French start-up C’Evidentia to make it easier to book appointments and access a wide choice of frames. This partnership demonstrates APRIL’s commitment to its policyholders to facilitate access to quality care within a controlled budget.

All APRIL health policyholders can now benefit from the optical products and services offered by the start-up C’Evidentia, including online sight and acuity tests, easier appointment booking with a healthcare professional within a shorter timeframe, and access to the C’Evidentia product catalogue with a wide range of frames available with no out-of-pocket expenses.

‘This partnership with C’Evidentia illustrates our determination to improve protection for the French, particularly senior citizens, some of whom might consider foregoing treatment due to lack of resources or access to a healthcare professional. This scheme enhances our range of services and solutions, which include access to teleconsultation and a reimbursement simulator to estimate the out-of-pocket expenses for each treatment in real time,’ said Ludovic Cohen, Deputy Managing Director of APRIL Santé Prévoyance.

‘We are delighted to be supporting a leading player like APRIL in its strategy to digitalise and diversify its services. Through this partnership, we will be facilitating access to vision care and restoring purchasing power for several hundred thousand policyholders, which we are delighted about’, says Baptiste de la Brosse, Chairman of C’Evidentia.

The APRIL and C’Evidentia partnership includes :
-A free teleconsultation eye test,
-A complete service for the beneficiary, from making the appointment to purchasing the glasses and final delivery,
-Appointments made with partner ophthalmologists,
-Access to a wide choice of frames, with zero out-of-pocket expenses.
